Disney's `Beverly Hills Chihuahua' Opens as Top Film
ok. now, i understand that our culture can tend to be a little supid... but if we're in a time of economic crisis, and $29 million dollars worth of people spend their money on a movie like this, nobody is going to take us seriously as a nation.
i'm almost embarrassed and don't want to clump myself in with 'us'..
but, i know it's a winless battle, where every few months a movie of this 'caliber' comes out and people will just throw money at it, then buy it's marketing, then buy the dvd.. and the soundtrack.. and the stuffed animal......

Her new penguin friends do not, it turns out, care for the red plastic igloo she purchased, except when it rains. Nor are all the young ones adept at swallowing whole sardines -- she has ruined more than one blender grinding their daily fish smoothies. And when she took to cradling them on her lap to watch TV in the evenings -- being, as they are, wild flightless birds that aren't housebroken -- it didn't take long for her to realize she must first swaddle them in a towel, for cleanliness.
