Madonna on Britney: 'Let's Go Save Her'

cool, a respectable title.
ironically, even though i try to avoid much of pop culture, i too feel the exact same way.
i think it's disgusting they plucked this 'naive' girl from *AL (i think) and gave her money... and made her the sexiest woman alive (i thought i read that somewhere. if someone can find a link, please advise).
it's the same idea with michael jackson. you turn a young boy into a superstar, and then when he has a hard time turning into an adult, you can't blame someone that's been touring and practicing and hanging out with older people that when he wants to hang out with younger kids, yes, it's a little creepy, but, we need to realize he never had any time to develop from a child to an adult.
read about any child genius's, it's tough for them to go back to the real world.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Madonna wants the media to leave Britney Spears alone. "They need to step off," she told the "Yo on E!" satellite radio show. "For real ... Let's go save her."

Madonna, 49, said her daughter, Lourdes, 11, feels the same way.

"She knows Britney, (but) she doesn't really watch TV or read gossip stuff," the pop star said in the interview. "I think she sort of gets the drift of what's going on, and I think she feels very protective of Britney."

ok, great. now they're just validating the title of the article, which is good.

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have a son, Rocco, 7, and are raising a Malawian boy they want to adopt.

"He's the life of the party," she said of David, who she brought home from Africa in 2006. "He loves music, he's an amazing dancer. ... He's a character."

She said caring for David is no different from her raising her biological children: "I thought it was gonna be, but it feels the same to tell you the truth."

ok. well, i thought this was about how she wanted to save britney, not about her raising an african boy, but that's cool, i can still deal with it. it's a 'noble' thing for her to adopt some child like that, so yes, i think she should get a little bit of credit. thank you. maybe other people will read about her and do something good with their life. who knows. i don't know, i'm just saying.

As for speculation that her marriage is on the rocks, Madonna said: "It is ridiculous. ... I don't pay much attention to it."

The singer's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg recently dismissed media reports that the Ritchies have split up, saying they "remain happily married." Rosenberg said that Madonna and filmmaker Ritchie, 39, were "joyfully back together at home in London" after living in separate countries for work purposes.

Madonna, whose new album "Hard Candy" arrives April 29, told "Yo on E!" that she plans to spend the summer in New York, and that she might kick off a tour this fall.

i suppose the worst thing about a blog is when it talks about someone you don't know about.
as in, if i'd stumble upon someones blog, and they're talking about their day, the first obvious thing that would pop into my head is "why do/should I care about this (person)?"
not in an evil way, but honestly "why?" I don't know them. i'll probably never meet them. they may never want to meet me.

Lisa Marie Presley has confirmed, with excitement and yet a great deal of reluctance, that she and husband Michael Lockwood are expecting their first child together this fall.

The 40-year-old Elvis heir announced the impending stork delivery Thursday in a message titled "Confirmation under the gun" on her MySpace blog. The post came in response to the spate of unflattering speculation in the media on her rapidly expanding midsection.

"After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant," she wrote.

This 'woman" is an idiot. If she would bother to take a moment to read about the structural design, the heat from the explosions, and the misfortune of the refueling of the explosions from within by office materials, this moron would then be aware that the Towers maintained integrity to expectations, and somewhat more. They had become a huge financial boon for he area and help unite nations around the globe. Design flaws which made evacuation more difficult were not technologically obsolete, but unfortunately designed to maximize profit, at the expense of safety. This imbecile needs to shut up and act, if you can cal it that. R.I.P. to the Fallen members of FDNY/NYPD, and to all who sacrificed and were victimized on that horrific day.

I was happy when she won the Academy Award for her performance, but at the time I was unaware of her comments on 9/11. What a disgusting human being it must take to think such horrible thoughts to trivialize and cheapen human life the way she did. This is just like Holocaust denial. I say revoke her Oscar and make a statement.

This idiot needs to stay in her own country and become the star she wants to be. She lives in a glass bubble while our men in tanks fight to protect our freedom. She is an ugly human being both inside and out. I am sorry for everyone who lived through this nightmare, including all those who lost a loved one. This horrible time period and its aftermath is never far from my mind and I often pray for everyone involved because they are still having to endure the heartache. I hope our people come together, outraged and outspoken against what she has said so that it ruins any chance of her having a career in our beautiful country. I believe her next project is in Chicago....and I hear that Chicago-folks are rather "feisty" and protect their own when a crisis comes! God bless and Vive la USA!
